will 205/60R-15 fit on my baby?

I'm looking to get a set of Konig Rewinds and would like to put BF Goodrich g-Force Sport 205/60R-15 on 'em. Wondering if the 60's will cause and clearance problems?

I'm an old hotrod guy and like the look of a taller sidewall.

Thanks for any advice.

Um, don't do that.

Why use such a tall sidewall? 205/55/R15 is tall as it is, and there are a LOT of tires in this size. You might be able to squeeze them in, but the car will handle like dirt...

Try 225/50/R15's if you like bigger tires!

205/55 15

I did 205/55 15's BF Goodrich g-Force Sport with the konig rewinds.
ride was much smoother than RF's and car SEEMS to take off better,
but the cornering feels like the car got a little top heavy. Other then
that I would say it was a great upgrade. next set I might try the 50's.
BTW I think the rewinds look fantasic! I'll try to post pics later.

I agree with Soulsword. Don't do 205/60's. I also have 205/55-15 BFG GForce Sports on Rewinds and I'm real happy with them. I also have some 195/60's on Silverstones and I don't like them near as much. Haven't done 205/50, so I can't say.

I don't think 205/60-15 would be terrible as the comments suggest. After all, the stock tires for 15 inch are 65 series. If you want the look of a tall sidewall then go for it. It's an uncommon size for MINI (most want short sidewalls) so you may have trouble finding someone who has done it. It is .7 inch taller than the stock diameter and probably okay if you don't lower the car. Many people use stock tires and lower the car much much than .7 inch.

Yes, but 60% of 205 is 123mm and 65% of 175 is 114mm. That's a difference of 9mm per sidewall, so a total difference of 18mm or 7/10" in diameter.

All the credit goes to DID and RallyMINI. I did it on their recommendations. They were right.
