BF Goodrich g-Force Sport

I'm lookin at the 205/50/16's, and saw these at tire rack for 70 bux a pop. They seem to compare well to the Pirelli Pzero nero's, which go for 106 a tire.

Is it worth it to pay the extra for the Pirelli's? I'm lookin for good handling, at least average wet traction, and a tire that will not wear too quickly. I'm looking to replace my runflats right off the bat when my car comes for delivery, so I'm shopping around now.

Anyone got any opinions on the BFG's?

I'm running the G-Force Sports... better ride than the previous two sets of Yokohama ES100's, quieter, wearing better, and have better dry and wet grip... I'm wholly impressed by them and will buy them again...

Scott, did you get them locally or order them? I'm thinking about them for the boss's 325i.

ask why so cheap

Just make sure they aren't cheap because they are old.

The guys at tire rack a great. I saw several tires that size on tire rack that were very cheap when I asked why the salesman said they where from 2000 (this happened to be PZeros).

I am running them in 225/50/R15 and I have been very happy with them so far. Great grip, good wet performance, and a great ride (and not too loud).

I'd buy them again.

They're 83-88 bux at discount tire, so it seems like a fairly normal price, they're not on closeout or anything.

Seems like they're a good enough tire to try, I like ZR rated tires anyways.

So any opinions on 205/45/16 vs 205/50/16?
Any noticeable differences in wear or handling?
Which one do you guys think looks better on a lowered mini?
I'll probably be running them on the v-spokes for now.

205/45s will be a little shorter, you may be able to use a 215/45 and get closer to stock diameter. Since it's lowered, check clearences with wider tires . . .

I think the difficulty in mounting the 205/45's will keep me away from them. I have a couple friends who are mechanics, so I don't want to be causing them too much trouble.

I have the gForce sports in 205/50/16 and they provide a slight but noticable gearing advantage in that size. I am pleased with the ride and grip on dry and wet. I push them all the time and they are predictable.

Bfg's

also available at BJ's and Costco . Good price--mounted, balanced, installed and old tires disposed of.

Discount Tire... they price matched Tire Rack and it turned out cheaper!

I run the 205/45R16's... IMHO, they're smoother riding than the 205/50R16 Yoko ES100's!

Besides that, I believe the 45's have a wider contact patch... Mine ride great...

I had g-sports, and was quite impressed with them, for the money one of the best tires in the market

I run them on the street in the summer and for 2 or 3 track days a year, although in 205/55-15 on 7" rims. They've held up well, are very predictable, and do well in the rain. I like 'em. Not the most quiet tire, but it's not loud enough to bother me.
