tire warning monitor

I just swapped off my winter tires this morning for my OEM runflats. I cannot get the warning light to go out even though I measure 35 lbs in each tire. Any thoughts?

Did you try the reset button?

Right now mine is flashing on and off. My rear passenger-side has a nail in it and is almost bald. Going after work this afternoon to get a couple of new tires. Hopefully that'll stop the blinking.

Turn the ignition on and hold it down until it stops blinking, then turn the ignition off and back on and it should be out. Worked for me yesterday.

Turn the ignition on and hold it down until it stops blinking
From the user's manual:
1. Before a journey, start the engine, but do
not start driving
2. Press the button long enough for the
indicator lamp in the display elements
to light up for a few seconds
3. Drive off.
It takes a few minutes before the Flat Tire
Monitor can detect a flat tire and issue an
alert.

No need to shut the engine back off.

Nope. I've got aftermarket wheels and tires and it doesn't stay on. I think the system works by detecting difference in the speed of the tires caused by lower pressure in a tire. Even if you go to non-runflats, it will still pick up a flat before it goes completely flat.

Correct, it uses the ABS wheel speed sensors.

After I repaired a tire, the light stayed on even though I did what the manual said. I had to do the reset as indicated by the manual but drive for a while for the light to go out.
