Not for Everyone

Nope, not everyone is going to like it, but I do, and that's all that matters. Keep in mind, the car isn't done yet, and the color will be brought up in a very creative way as my project evolves, but I figured I'd share anyway. Enjoy!

Nice Will! I looked at the same wheels, thought they would go good with the dark gray that may S is.
If those are the wheels I'm thinking of, they have two valve stems. One for air & one for nitrogen, depending on what you want to use.

Seems color combo is something you have in common with a few Ringmeisters

Gotta love that bonnet

I think they will look really good as you bring the total color scheme into play. I don't envy you trying to keep those bad boys clean!

Heck yeah I like 'em! I'd like to someday to a removable orange highlight package for my BRG MCS. As a tribute to BRM, of course

Blue/orange is also the color scheme at Bay Bridge Motors (Oakland)

What wheels are these? Can you share the specs? Are they hub-centric? I've already got orange stripes and these might just be the ticket for my Mel!

Thanks, all!

I should have mentioned earlier, but these Wheels started life as Orange Konig Kolors (sometimes confused with the orange Kosei's, but they aren't) but neither the Konig's or Kosei's had a color that I wanted. The original color was very chalky, and I was dissatisfied with them. The Kosei's were nice, but I wanted a more metallic look, so I went searching.

I found a local powdercoat shop that had about 500 different colors, and picked that one out almost immediately. It's a two stage paint with the orange layed down first then shot with the metallic flakes. So if you are asking where to get them, well, you can't! Totally custom job! But I'll be happy to find out the code for the paint if anyone wants to know.

I had actually decided I wanted orange wheels before any of the blue/orange MINI's started popping up in pics, but seeing them pretty much sealed the deal for me. hehe.

I love them, but then I'm biased.

I run orange/red holies at the track ...

that orange looks great! now you just HAVE to do the calipers to match. that would be too cool. i hope you bring it out to amviv so we can all see it in person.

I have been looking high and low for Orange caliper paint. It seems that just about every color but orange is available. ...of course, taking them off to be powder coated might be an option.

Buy yourself a kit with yellow and another kit with red caliper paint and mix the 2 together to get orange. Problem solved.

That bonnet has been posted before, and some people wanted to get a hold of one if I remember correctly. You might be able to make a tiny bit of scratch bringing it over.

I like the wheels. They're totally over the top and I think it's fantastic

Little bit of an update, but I procured a spare bonnet this week so the next phase of work can begin! Over the top, and yet very functional.

Thanks for all the comments!
