R84 Center Cap Alternatives

I don't like the OEM center caps for the R84 rims:

So I normally run my w/o

But that leaves a big hole in the middle that isn't too attractive either. Is there an alternative oem center cap like the Slites:

that will work? How about aftermarket?

Thanks a lot.

I used to go without the caps too. I replaced the lugs with some chrome tuner lugs, dressed it up a little and it looked better. You can buy or have stickers made to cover the MINI logo on the oem caps, but I don't think that you can find aftermarket caps to cover the hole thing. I agree, they are a bit cheesy.

Very kewl, let me know if you find any that fit. Aesthetic Creations sells center cap stickers:

If we can find a set of caps that fit, these will make them look eom!

Here's a link to Bavarian Autosport (no personal affiliation) that has the OEM center cap emblem. Now to find something to stick it to....

Kewl! Will you be able to share or is this a one time shot?

I know other people call the R84 the "monza" but I do not know why. I did a search on google and couldn't find any wheels by that name or manufacturer that looked like the R84.

Keep us posted.

Has anyone tried MINI's own hubcaps? Item #4 in this diagram:
http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...08&hg=36&fg=15
It just might work! Somebody who has both S-Lites and X-Lites should give it a try.

Niiiice, much better than the stock cover. Not totally sure about the BBS, but having the cap is a big plus. I don't really mind the black lugs so I'll probably keep those.

Thanks for the info.

$13 ea, call me if you need them, but here is the comment from my BBS rep
"If the MINI guy has the OE wheel that MINI calls the R90 that cap isn’t going to work. The OE wheel has really long tabs on the backside and we don’t have anything like that. I’ve tried and we have nothing that works in that wheel that I am aware of."
