Broken Lug Bolt

I was putting my winter tires/wheels on this afternoon and One of the heads of my lug bolt just snapped off.

any ideas?

I was thinking that If the brake rotor isn't held on by these bolts it should come off just with the removal of the star bolt that is in there, then I would have enough bolt available to use an extractor. I don't think its cross threaded, so If I can just get enoough bolt I think I will be able to work it.

Anyone think this will work? Its to dark out for me to do this right now I am trying to get a game plan for tomorow.

advice is greatly apreciated
thanks

The brake rotor should come off okay. Good luck.

can you drill a hole in the broken lug and use an 'easy out' ?

do you use an impact gun on your lugs or did you just over torque it?
How much torque are you using? (typically i just use about 90lbs/ft)

definately pull the hubs off and i bet there'll be enough stud available that you can just back it out with vice grips. good luck.

....

yeah so its friggin snowin out right now I do not have a garage might put this off until tomorrow.

anyone ever take a hub off Is there any trick to it?

I generaly do not change / rotate myself, the shop I purchased my proxes 4s at includes rotation as part of the deal, and I think they just over torqued this one last time they were rotated. come to think of it I was only there for 10min so they probably just hit them with the impact wrench.
anyway going forward I will be rotating myself.
