Hey Guys-

Brand new to the site, as I took delivery on an 05 S, Pure Silver with Black Stripes two weeks ago. What a blast, tons of fun, but the only thing I want to change are the wheels. I am thinking of getting 5Zigen Super Six, 17in., black with polished lip. However, a few things are stopping me. One, I have no idea how good 5Zigen Wheels are. Two, I have not seen them on anyone elses car. And three, I have no idea if they will fit, as I know nothing about wheels. If any of you know anything about wheel sizes or 5Zigen Wheels or have these (or any other black wheels) on your car, could you post it? Thanks so much for your help,

Happy Motoring,

Chris

Motegi RT5s 17x7 42mm offset, on Pirelli runflats, cost me close to $600.00, got a good deal on them, now they are for sale with the tires (Pirelli eurofia), 60% thread at least, asking $400.00 for the set, negotiable. OZ Superturismo WRCs in 18" are on the way.

Not the best pic but at least you get to see some black (no polished lip) 5Zigen wheels on my Cooper.

Hey Guys-

Thanks for all your feedback, as I know nothing about sport wheels you have all been a huge help. I'm lookin at the 5Zigen Super Six, I think I posted the link before. How have the 5Zi's worked out for you? Rumor has it they are a top drifting wheel maybe because they are durable (?) Either way, here in NJ I see all four seasons, so I'll probably need the reliability. Again, thanks so much!

PS-- If anyone has another place to get the 5Zi Super Six besides tires.com or any other wheel recommendations priced comparably, let me know. I have a Pure Silver S with black roof and black bonnets. Gallery Pics are incoming...

Again, thanks so much,

CG

5Zi Wheels

http://www.wheelmax.com/wheelmodels.asp?CtgId=1818

They have 5Zigen but don't list the Super Six perhaps they could order them. I'm looking at the Black Racing Pro N1 (silver) for myself and am curious if anybody out there has experience with WheelMax. I'll post a new thread up to see.

I was looking at the Black Racing wheels myself a short time ago and they are a nice looking wheel. I saw one link that showed a weight of 20 lbs for the the 17x7.5 so instead I ordered Team Dynamics Pro Race 2s at 15.4 lbs in a 17x7. The thing is, I drive on the street - I'll probably never notice the difference in the weight - plenty of wheels weigh 20 lb. But its one of those things, couldn't go for something heavier than the stock wheels.

I shot an email off to 5Zigen (a couple weeks ago) to check weights of the Pro N1 and the GN+ and the reply was 18lbs for the Pro N1, 20lbs for the GN+. I did order the Pro N1's. Irregardless, as you suggest for street use the difference will be slight. I'm saving weight vs the S lites in any case.

This week I will be installing the Konig Kolors wheels on my '05 MCS. In 17" size, they weigh only 17#. I bought them from Discount Tire for $134 each. Chrome lug bolts and wheel covers are also available.
