I finally Got My REWIND's

Yup, got 'em. Now if I could find out how to link to my galilery I could show 'em off. Dang love the look, love the ride... Glad I did, don't know why I waited a year.

That's a great look lisdexic_driver. Seriously considering the graphites for my DS/B mcs. A couple questions if you don't mind: what size tire did you end up going with? are you at the stock ride height?
thanks

Thanks, I totally dig them, yes I'm at stock ride height. For tires I went with BF Goodrich g-Force Sport in 205/60/15. Most are going with 205/55's but I wanted the slightly higher rided and Liked the look of the taller sidewalls. It raised me up about a 1/2 inch from stock. No more scaping speed bumps and driveways. It is a slight bit more top heavy feeling taking corners at real speed, but at street speeds its totally fine. It also smooths out the ruff LA streets.

I need to get me a set of those wheels!! After seeing the dark ones on the BRG, I'm starting to like those more. Do we have a shot with them on Astro Black?

Looks like that 02 in the background is sporting some on the front. Nice shot, Dave!

It seems to me that the Antracite version might be very good at hiding the brake dust that the factory pads make on the fornt end.

The silver ones turn anthracite-colored if you don't wash 'em. ;-)

you can definitely still tell when the anthracites are dirty.....the dust is flat where as the finish on the rewinds is VERY glossy. So unfortunately you can't full escape the dreaded brake dust ...but the anthracite does help a little

Where can I buy a set of these?

Where did you buy the Konig Rewind 40mm Graphite Wheels and tires. I may want them for my 2006 MCS.

Thanks,
K.Riese

I'm considering these for my new MC (still scheduled for production). It's coming with delta spokes but they are only 5.5 vs 7. The trade off for me would be I'm in Seattle and the wider tire would decrease traction during the o so common wet road days. Also I'd likely need to sell my deltas to justify buying the Konigs so I couldn't swap them out for fall and winter.
I do have essentially free access to a car lift and would also be putting some aftermarket springs on.
So with ~1" lowering springs and 205/55/15s I should be ok no? Would 195s fit? That might be the sweet spot for me.

205/55 R15 on the rewinds with h-sports will work just fine. That's the way I had mine set-up until I went with the FSD's.

quick update for anyone considering alternative brake kits: I've been looking at getting the Wilwood brake kit. It's supposed to fit under 15" wheels, but the spokes on the Rewinds just barely touch the bolts on the face of the caliper. It looks like a small (1/8"?) spacer will provide enough clearance. Way (of Way Motor Works) is going to work with me to see if we can come up with a safe solution for using the Wilwood kit with these wheels. Sounds like a small spacer should be effective provided it doesn't compromise safety on the track.

some opinions on these? I searched, didn't come up with much on these so far. I've decided to stick with what I read in the issue of Sport Compact Car about their project Mini and how little wheels look right on a Mini. I've noticed lately that I like how a lot of the smaller wheels look on our cars. Just wanted to get others opinions
I love them!! but they are only 15s

Great price for the Konig wheels,

IMHO These are the best 15" wheels on the market for the Mini Cooper.

I wonder which finish would look good on my Dark silver MCS? Anyone with photoshop skills dare take a stab at this?

Well I just pulled the trigger and ordered a set of Rewinds. This will be quite a change from the 17x8 Hammans. I am probably going to go with the same type of tire that I have on the Hammans now – the Toyo Proxes4s – only in 205/55/15 instead of 215/45/17.
