New JCW Wheels

While at Hendrick MINI in Charlotte, NC today I took some pictures of a MINI they had for sale with the new JCW wheels.

I liked them. I thought they looked better when I saw them in person than the pictures I had seen.

Did you by chance see the rubber they were sporting?
Just curious to see what JCW puts on their wheels.

Thanks

Nope. Nu-uh. Sorry...They're just not working for me...

I wouldn't call them ugly--just boring. I'm sure they are very well-made, and the 2-tone finish is very nice.

But, they look like everything else that's out there. If someone didn't stop and tell you, 'Hey, those are real exclusive rims,' you'd never even give them a second glance. Your eyes move on to something else too soon.

Maybe JCW is hoping your eyes will be drawn to the new Rice Spoiler they just came out with...(hope this isn't a downward spiralling trend for the company).

Sorry to say, they are completely forgettable, in my humble (yea right <G>) opinion.

Not Bad, but those are what the Flame Spoke aka "HorseShoe" rim should have been.

I believe that the previous JCW wheels were mounted with runflats [18"] from the factory. I would guess then that these would be the same. Anyone?

These wheels have been designated the R105 and are 18x7 with a 52mm offset. Like the other JCW (R95 Spider-spoke) wheels, they are being shod with 205/40-18 Dunlop SP Sport 01 DSST (runflat) tires and require a steering stop kit be fitted.

I'm still trying to find out their "knickname" and weight.
