Yesterday evening I had to go and see and friend. He lives down a remote, small country road. The road was dry and bendy so I thought I would have some fun. I some how miss judged the road and was bumped into the middle of the road. I knew straight away that I had damaged my alloys on the curb (I presume you call it a curb over in the US? Its the bit where the road joins the path/ sidewalk). After inspecting it I realised it was worse than I thought. Both of my passenger side wheels now have chunks out of them pretty much all the way around. Does any one have any tips on how to make this look better that they already do, without buying new alloys?? :???: :???:

I'm moving this over to the Tire & Wheel forum. Hopefully someone there can help you out.

Sounds like you really messed 'em up.

Smaller nicks can be buffed out with a Dremel rouge and grinder pads. Then repaint the chunk.

Honestly, sounds like you need new rims. Bummer dude.

Make sure you check them first... you might need some levelers cuz balance and alignment of the wheels might of got affected...
You don't wana hurt yourself nor ur MINI so better be safe...

Thats a good point I hadn't thought of. I suspect that could have happened as I was shunted quite far across the other side of the road. I will get that checked. Thanks

Also keep in mid that if wheels get bent, and are re bent to true, they never have the original structural integrity. Think of how when you bend a paperclip its gets easyier and easyer as you go. But that might be the carraige before the horse.
