R99's ordered

After looking around at several cheaper aftermarket options for a week, ive decided to get OEM rims. The 17 " R99's are not that heavy, made by BBS, do not require hub centering rings, wont cause any future rubbing issues and look fantastic.

The wheels should be in tuesday, and im going to buy either the silver or the polished one's with non-runflat rubber (I think im going with the falken ze 512's since they have a rim protector feature and are 2 lbs lighter than the proxes ) I searched online, on mini2 and NAM and there arent a lot of really good shots of these to look at yet.

So, while i wait for these bad boys to arrive, i would love to see some shots of R99's on your cars, silver or polished! You could email them to me if thats easier - mahyera@mail.nih.gov

~thanks a advance guys!!!!!

(p.s) my 16 " R84's (in white) will be up for sale in about a week (wheels and tires). They are in perfect condition - waxed regularly, no curb rash (just a little over 2 months old with around 3600 miles on the rubber)

I'll have my gray/anthracite R99s to show you a pic of later today. I will be picking up my car with them freshly installed this afternoon.

Ok got my baby back from the dealer

Gray R99s on my PS MCSa w/ Aero Kit. I don't think these pics do the car justice. With the overcast the pics look subpar.

They stay pretty clean (amazingly enough). I don't know how they compare to the silver finish. My previous cars were BMW and the brake dust and rim cleaning was much worse than these.

Also the Mini Wheel Cleaner works super super well! It makes the job a breeze and they come out looking very clean!

I am very happy with the R99's polished... although I bet the silver are sharp too.

Oh cmon! dont be so modest. That mini looks great no matter how overcast it is. The anthracite r99's are very well suited for the silver color.. nice lookin mini!

Thats good to know that they arent any worse in terms of cleaning than the silver ones. yeah the age old brake dust problem with bimmers. the wheels on My 04 3 series were very hard to keep clean. Maybe ill change he brake pads at some point to somthing a bit less dusty.
