Rotor Offset??

Can someone provide me with the stock rotor offset? (hub mount face to IB plate face)
and rotor hat thickness?(at the wheel mount face)

Does anyone know what these numbers are for the JCW rotor?

Thanks, in advance, for any information!

Andrew,
Nope, eventually broke down and bought the JCW rotors (once they were available for sale). I could measure them and get the info. Would take me a while, my mini is a 2.5 hr drive away, and in storage right now.
Thanks for asking.
Chris

Don't sweat it if they're not in arms reach....just thinking about a warm weather project in a couple months for the mini (porsche boxster calipers on JCW 294mm x 22mm rotors for the front).

checked piston sizes and the bias should be somewhat similar to JCW brakes with same rotor diameter. 40mm and 36mm for the porsche brembo piston diameters, and 54mm for the single piston JCW (and 48mm for my standard MCS). feel free to correct my bias ideas there.

i will need to fabricate a caliper bracket and figure out brake lines, but that's doable. just wanted to make sure the jcw rotors will work and everything will clear. the boxster oem rotor size is 298mm x 22mm....i don't think a 4mm smaller OD will be a problem but i'm not sure on a few things.

would be so nice to use an off the shelf rotor for this.

thanks!

I wouldn't concern myself with ~16mm^2 for the bias area. I would be concerned about the smaller OD rotor. It could cause pad "lipping" over the OD of the rotor, and could make it extremely difficult to know when pads are worn out.
GL! Hope it works out!

*edit: added "s" to "work"

Lipping as you said is a concern and also if the caliper or pad for that matter clears the entire swept area of the rotor face and doesn't touch the hat. make sense?

Yes, having the pad or caliper rub on the hat would be a bad thing. Wasn't even thinking on that end...and if your inboard pad lips under the rotor as well as over, that could cause all kinds of drag, noise, vibration, and heat issues.
best of luck with the project!
