Motegi Trak Lite 2

Anyone have these yet? The Motegi site says they are "new", look decent and are only 14.5lbs for the 17x8

Just looked at the site again, their fitment guide doesn't list them for the MC or MCS, perhaps due to the 17x8 and +42 offset...

17x8 maybe a bit too wide for the mini... but 42 offset is correct... i'd think someone running these would at least need 215/45 tires

if you know the price for these let me know... i run motegi wheels and they have stood up well to my driving and the pot hole ridden streets of toronto

Just for referance my Hammans are 17/8 with a 42 offset with no fitment issues. I run 215/45 tires with about a 1.5 inch drop on Leda's. I dont think you would have any problems with the Motegi's

I'll get you a price on Friday 1/21 and post it here, or you can call any shop that sells American Racing wheels and they can get you price and availability.

Later.

these are expensive suckers

O.K. the skinny on these is that they aren't available for 3-5 more weeks.
The MSRP is $345.00 each. I'd expect to pay around $290.00-$300.00 each in the ultracompetitive wheel market.

Good Luck

Those are the KDW-2 from BFG and am very pleased with them. The do need to warm up a bit but once the yare up to temp they stick quite well. I have a about 18k miles on them as well as one track weekend and I still have at least 50% tread left. For a street tire they are doing the job nicely but for the track there are better ways to go.

I was considering those as replacements for my Perreli runflats, but I couldn't find anyone who had used them. Now I have to decide between those and the Yoko Parada spec-2's.

Thanks !
