Should be fine. Would depend on tire size.

17x8 ET40 fits perfectly with no rubbing at all with a 215 tire which is what I'm running, but heard some have 225

Hey K is your car lowered? 215 might be the ticket, looking to get a little more rubber with out the rubbing, lol

Is that what you are running? Are you just throwing out numbers?

That is just over and inch under stock diameter. teeny tiny, and would only 'work' if totally slammed (Vic's old white mini comes to mind), or maybe if we were in the first-gen section. No way only a mere inch drop warrants rubber bands. At least keep a 40 ratio. Even a 225/40/18 tends to fit dropped cars

Nice to know, I have the stock 17" wheels on now with Conti extreme contact 205 40r17, also a set of OZ Ultra Legerra's with the same tire size. Looking at getting these 18's with some bigger rubber, because I just cant keep the tires pinned with the mods on the car. Also have to get a LSD, That should help a ton. the 225's would be sweet as long as they don't rub, running H&R race spirngs, and they are a little over 1" drop

Yeah, SOME minimal rubbing can often be cured with alignment...usually more camber. However might depend on your specific adjustability...control arms ect. Often its something like "only rubs with two people in back, and only on plastic wheel arch edge"...which can be trimmed without ever seeing it.

going to have to pull the trigger on the 18" wheels I guess, if I don't buy them I will post the ad so someone else can pick them up. Nice older set of OZ Super Legerra's

It'll fit fine lowered, that's a really neutral more on the weaker fitment size. You can run a 205/40/18, 215/35/18 both without rubbing and lowered.
