Runflat options

Here are the options I have found for runflat tires on MINIs, highest price listed first:
Goodyear Eagle RSA EMT
Dunlop SP Sport 9000 DSST
Pirelli Euphori@ (yes, @)

Any other options out there? I know the reasons and arguments for going non-runflat, but my wife insists on runflats due to my luck.

Should mention that I am looking for the factory size: 205/45 R17.

Why runflats? Do yourself a favor and go non-runflat

As I said, wife insists on it because of the way my luck runs.

I'm sold on the Pirelli's, but I lean towards the more performance oriented tire. Don't know anything about the Goodyears, but I know Dunlops will never find their way on my car.

Get a flat on the backroads on a cold, rainy night and you'll be glad you didn't do yourself the favor of going with non-runflats! Smart wife you got there!

I just had my tires rotated (runflats) and thought I would check on price and availability. I thought about buying a spare just in case I got a flat and couldn't find a dealer with any on hand, which seems to be a problem (6 week wait). From what the tire place said, there may not be many dealers who have the equipment where I live to put them on. So I'm wondering about when the time comes to buy a new set of tires, getting something non runflat and just keeping a can of Fix-a-Flat in the mini. Talk me into it or out of it if you would. I mean, (this will jinx me for sure) I have a 98 S-10 with 108,000 miles on it and have never had a flat.

Options? Sure.
The best one is to find a new MINI owner and buy the set of runflats brand new from them. You can get them cheap compared to buying them new from a retail source. They can switch to non runflats on their stock rims for more performance and comfort, and everyone is happy.

Or skip the run-flats

and get a MC spare (with a bag...) in the trunk to keep everyone happy...

Overall, it might be cheaper

I like that option minihune! Off to the Marketplace.

Don't really like the idea of getting a spare. I use the boot a good bit. But it might be an option for others.
