205/50-16 and the lowered Mini

Ok;

I did some searching and didn't quite get the answer I was looking; So; I will ask it.

Will 206/50-16 fit on a lowered MINI with Eibach springs?

As long as the offset of the wheel is 42-48mm and width of
wheel is 7.5" or less, should fit without any problems.

I'm running 205/50R16 Yoko ES100's on my car, on Rota Slipstreams, which are 16x7 and 42 offset. I've got H&R springs, which dropped my car 40mm all around, and I've got no rubbing!

If you have 16" R83 stock 5 spoke rims then your offset is +50mm and you will be OK to run 205/50-16 tires on your MINI with Eibach springs.

Perhaps I misunderstand the + and - of offsets. I had assumedthat a + would be how much more the outside edge of the rim was from center than the outside edge was from center. Sounds as though its the other way?

Wheel offset info here:
http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/tech/offset.htm

Sound like they should fit.
Did you get a deal on some tires?

No Both rear run flats are damaged and I'm looking to replace them. Was checking out the options. I think I'm going to buy a full set of yoko's

I had 205/50 R16 AVS ES100's on my MINI with H&R's on the stock 16's. There was no rubbing. The H&R's lower the car more than the Eibach's as I recall.
