Michelin pilot sport AS3

Just put these new tires on, first impression , SMOOTH. I put on the same size as before, 215/45/17 and they feel like my 16" non rft's , I am amazed how much smoother than my khumo ecsta ast's they are. After getting some miles on them I'll test traction. Going from a 400 A to a 500 AA should be better.

Also Their wheel saver is even bigger than Khumos. You would have to rub a curb pretty hard to curb your wheels.

I got a killer price on them at DT since my last experience was not good, priced for me at $115 each it was less than $500 out the door for 45k mile michelin's that are extreme perf all season tires. If I get 25k I'll be happy.

the michelins are warrantied to wear to 45,000 miles ... if you wear them out sooner, you get a set prorated based on the miles left to 45,000

don't forget to rotate them every 4k to 5k miles to keep the wear even

michelin recommended rotation pattern for fwd is to cross the rears to the front and move the fronts straight back

I have a set on my 12 Cooper S. They are smoother than the run flats and have a lot more grip. I have about 6k miles on them and I am very satisfied with them.

I have run these, great tires. I am on my seconds set now. My first set lasted about 26k miles before I replaced them. I have no idea how they would ever last 45k. I ran 205/50/16s.

I currently have 52K on mine and some would agree if the following discipline is followed:

1. rotated every 4K;
2. not a whole lot of rapid acceleration and heavy braking;
3. proper tire pressure;
4. correct camber;
5. 95% freeway driving and
6. over all sound driving habits...

Don't get me wrong, I do pick my battles when it come to aggressive driving only when it's necessary. I guess that comes with aging.. ha!

The whole point in me buying these is my aggressive driving and at 52 I still enjoy racing. But I will rotate more often and cross as Michelin recommends .

Wet grip is awesome. Noise level is average or better for a performance tire.

Ok, finally got some rain and I mean a good TX poor down, I love these tires, I was able to hit 245 foot pounds and still not break traction, did lane changes, ran in deep water.

SO far these are the best tires I have had on my MINI. Now if they last say atleast 25K before I get to 5/32" left I will be very happy.
