Hi Dave,

I was on tirerack and when I went to look for rims for my cooper s, I was wondering why only the RK BBS rims show up. I was wondering if you can actually get other bbs rims for the mini. Thanks again for the help

>>Hi Dave,

Not to be a nitpick, but do you mean Dan - @tirerack?

There are a lot of Daves on MCO that give great input, so that's why I ask! It might help you to get the response quicker. ? Maybe.

yeah, I thought this was a question for me.

BTW, you can hit the little edit icon on your original post and change the title to show Dan instead of Dave.

Well, we still haven't answered the original poster's question... although after re-reading that question I think I do know the answer to that one too.

woops read it again, I think he's asking why BBS wheels like say the sweet BBS LM's aren't available for the MINI.

The RK is the ONLY bbs branded wheel I have that will fit in your 4 lug configuration, with appropriate brake clearance

Thanks Dan, your a champ. Now all I have to do is get my damn mini in. It has been sitting at port for weeks. aRRRR. It's a shame there isn't any more 4 lug pattern bbs rims out there. They make some gorgeous rims. Thanks again.

Too bad for us, LM's were never made in 4 lug.

Dan,

It appears that the R90's from Mini are basically the BBS RX's with a 3-piece bolt pattern around the edges. Is this true? The RX's are also 5 bolt instead of 4. The RX's appear to be the closest looking rims that I could find to the R90. Is there a way to fit the 5-bolt onto the 4-bolt pattern? What is the price of the RX's? Is there another wheel that looks very similiar to the R90 that will fit the Mini at a reasonable price?

Tirerack doen't recomed using lug adaptors, it tends to compromise lug centricity. (make's vehcles weight ride on the lugs, not the hub) Think of lugs like clamps to hold the wheel on, and the larger hub bears the weight. Adaping is not a safe idea.

Some people fill and drill wheels, and thats also a severe weaking in the structural intergty of a wheel's mounting flange. BBS also frowns highly on that idea. Wish I had better news
