Tire-Size-Calculator.info | Compare tires and wheels + graphical demonstration

Hello Forum!

I want to introduce you to my newly released tire size calculator:

www.tire-size-calculator.info

You can compare your existing and future tires and / or wheels of your vehicle. You also get a nice graphical demonstration of how the tires and / or wheels look like in comparison.

You can calculate values such as circumference, speedometer difference, changes relevant to the ride height or the effect of wheel spacers and learn which tires or wheels fit best for your car.

I hope the tire size calculator can help you with your calculations and helps you in deciding on which tires and / or wheels to choose!

Would be nice if you have any suggestions or requests how to make the tire size calculator even more better.

Greetings – Mike!

PS: Admins or mods are welcome to make this thread sticky to help also new members of the forum who could need this tire size calculator.

Do changes in the speedometer reading affect the odometer too? I ask b/c the speedometer reads low at higher speeds (which I've learned is the spec on MINIs) but the odometer is correct.

With stock size tires, the odometer is correct but the speedometer reads a few mph high.
This is true of cars in general, not just MINIs.
If you change the tire diameter 5%, then the speedometer and odometer will
both change 5% also.

Interesting... I have used http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html in the past and so I thought I'd compare results.

Here's what I found in the example I've attached.

They both agree on several items:
Diameter, Sidewall, speedo difference

But not so on:
Circumference and thus Revs / Mile

So which one is right...or are either of them? Not to say one is better than the other, because YMMV

Thank you for the feedback!

@RoyalCooper, you are right, here in Europe we calculate the rolling circumference considering the weight of the car and with a given speed of 40 mp/h, therefore the rolling circumference is differing. I have now changed the calculation, so the value is the same like the other calculators.

badger84 thanks for the info/explanation and the update

Your version is my fav... love the graphics and the extra options and all the info yours provides and thanks for doing it in inches & MPH (given that you're in Europe)

Nicely done

If you do any future updates how about a calculation that shows odometer offsets, like: 10,000 Odometer Miles = 9,900 Actual Miles Driven

Hi to everyone!

I got a lot of feedback and many of you wanted to be able to input inch-values and not only metric ones. This is now possible Hope it will help you with your calculations.

If you like www.tire-size-calculator.info it would be great if you could recommend it also to others!
