Im about to buy this set of rims. Did you use the factory lugs or did you have to buy a kit ? if so do you have a link ?

After looking through the first 16 pages I didn't see many Hyper Blue Metallic Minis. Anyone have one of those with aftermarket rims? I'm looking into some rims for mine.

I do like the shape of the Hairpins. I would probably do Silver for mine, but your looks good.

Before and after Photos of my wheels

I bought a parts car, as I wanted the wheels and a buddy needed the motor etc.

So this is what they looked like when I got them:

And after a bit of work this is the end results:

Front is lowered after picture was taken, so front-rear is now even.

Np I'm happy, and it's super driveable too. With no passengers it never rubs. With one passenger it rubs now and then in the rear, but only if it's a bumby road. Nothing serious anyway. Front is never rubbing.

Edit: The inside plastic "lip" on each fender is cut away. If not you will rub as hell.

Asa ar1

Finally decided on a set of rims and just had them installed. 17x7 ASA AR1. I really liked the Breyton GTS-R and considered the NM RSe-5, but wasn't sure I wanted to pop $1000 for a set of rims. The ASA AR1's are about 2 lbs lighter than the R104 crown spoke stock wheels, so not a ton of weight savings, but they were inexpensive and have that Breyton look. The machined lip works really well with the chrome accents.

Well, their stated weight is 2 lbs lighter than the R104 crown spokes they replaced, so I did obtain about 10% weight reduction. Believe me, I would have rather gone with the Breytons or NMs (~17 lbs each), but not for nearly double the price per rim.

I completely agree. If CCWs weren't $3200 a set, I would definitely be rocking them.

If one day this becomes a 3rd "funmobile" and sees track duty and a ton more mods (Quicksilver exhaust is on its way), lighter wheels will be a must.
