I really like the look. I've been thinking the same thing for my oem 15 inch wheels. I don't know if it would be worth it or get new wheels altogether. I like the oem look on my Mini and keeping it classic. I'd get 195/60/15 tires too. Thoughts?

I'll let someone with a 2nd gen answer that. I'm not really too sure about what sort of clearance you guys have from the factory and what type of width/offset/spacers you'd need to make things flush.

If your wheels are 15x5.5 et45 like R81s for instance, you'd need about a 30mm spacer for your wheels to have the same poke as mine. That large of a spacer is probably going to cost $250-300 for all 4 corners, and for that money I'd probably be looking for used set of decent wheels.

However, you may only need a 15 or 20mm spacer to get the look you are after. Someone with a 2nd gen would know better than I do.

It would be 10 mm to 15 mm as the oem wheels are 45eta. The 10 would give me your look and 15 mm would be flush. I guess was asking "worth the investment for 15 inch oem wheels"? I'm primarily interested in widening the stance for a more aggressive look.

Well you also have to take the width into account. All the 15" oem wheels are 5.5" wide if I'm not mistaken. Going by the tire/rim calculator on this site, even if you got a 10mm spacer there's still a 19.05mm difference between 5.5" et35 and 7" et35. Thats where I was getting the 30mm from.

That's a very good point and something I had not thought about. That being the width if the wheel itself. Thank you.

Haven't posted in awhile, here is my new setup!

Rota Grid V (aka Classic) in 16x8, ET20, 205/45 Hankook V2 all around.

Probably gonna go for a 205/50 for a little "meatier" stance.

@ ForcedFed4 - great looking MINI. Wheel set-up is perfect IMO! The whole car is really well done, clean.

Rota

I have to admit they look like they're made for a MINI.
What size spacer do thy require?
I'm running Stance Mindsets 16 x 8 et26 w/205-50-16s. A wider tire will rub my BC Coils.

Got these a few months back but just have not posted. Breyton GTS-R, 17x7, ET30 wearing Potenza Pole Position XL's. Thinking about some 5mm spacers.

Those really are nice wheels especially for the money!

Those are on my short list of wheels to buy.
