Ok, as I'm at discount tire right now and I looked
At my 7.5" and with offset of 45 it just clears.

But they somehow buggered up a TPMS on one
Wheel and leaked halfway home. But so far love
My hyper black Rota SB's . And was surprised
My 17x7.5 215/45/17 rode as soft as my 205/50/16
Did. Very pleased.

Americas Tire didn't tighten my rear right TMPS valve stem enough and had a similar leak… all fixed now …. and Im as close as you can get on clearance… No rubbing and a very nice ride….

BlackKat13 could you let me know if you notice any difference between your stock wheels versus these new wheels you bought? I'm interested in seing if any low end pep or torque is less when running 18" inchers. I'm assuming the ones you bought at something like 18 pounds... My stock wheels are between 22-24 pounds I think.

Regards,
Systemlord.

I noticed a difference immediately. The car was now more responsive in that the front wheels break free a lot easier and do some pretty impressive burn-outs… You are right these new rims are 18.5 lbs each.. I believe my stock rims were in the 22lbs range…. Also the Michelin Pilot Super Sports 215/40/ZR18's are 1 lbs lighter than their 215/45/ZR17…I hope the chart below helps...

215/45/ZR17 VS. 215/40/ZR18
Diameter
24.6in. 24.8in.
Width
8.46in. 8.46in.
Sidewall
3.81in. 3.39in.
Circumference
77.3in. 77.8in.
Revs/Mile
819.7****814.6***
Speed Difference
Tire 1********Tire 2
20 MPH ****20.2
30 MPH ****30.2
40 MPH ****40.3
50 MPH ****50.4
60 MPH ****60.5
70 MPH ****70.6
80 MPH ****80.7
90 MPH ****90.7

I'm surprised you actually noticed a difference. Going from x lites (17.6lbs) to pf01s (13.9lbs) I haven't noticed a thing!

Very noticeable to me… I also changed the braking system to a much lighter Wilwood set-up… Not sure how much lighter the rotors are but its considerable…

Nice. More pics please! I have a pepper white R53 and I was this close to buying PF01 in 16" as well. Very light, great looking wheels, they were my second choice. I was about to pull the trigger on these PF01s when I finally found a set of 16" BBS RC wheels that I had always wanted. I would be interested to see more angles.

I'll take some more pictures tomorrow for you.

I still think I might add some small spacers just to make things a little more flush. I really love the wheel and I knew I wanted 16s but its just a shame it only comes in 7" wide and 42 offset in that diameter.

Heres a couple more. I know its not "stanced" or anything, but thats not what I was going for. I wanted something light in a diameter that kept a nice ride quality.

That's a GOOD thing.

What size are your tires?

Nah, I wouldn't say lame at all. I debated between 195/55 and 205/50 on my 16's, but I ended up going with 205/50.

Given the choice, I would've went 205/50 as well. I already had these with like 6k on them so I would be a waste to buy something else. I saw your ride in another thread. Looks great man!
