195/55R16 Runflat Tires

I have been doing the ContiPro Contact SSR during the spring/summer for my 2009 Cooper S. They are currently on back-order and I need tires within the next few weeks so I don't wear out my Blizzaks. Any recommendations? I prefer to stick with Run-Flats, as I have no spare, and have already had 2 to 3 "flats" so far. I'm sort of thinking of more of a summer tire instead of just an all-season, but most of the traction ratings aren't much better than the Contis (not sure how believable that is).

Here is a list of my options:

Prefer not to go over $190 per tire (I need all 4). Thanks!

The 2 options in your price range are the P1 and the Er300-02. I have not tested either, I do sell more of the Bridgestones.

What about just getting this-
http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....SRV2&tab=Specs

In stock and will fit your wheels with stock suspension for $173 each

Otherwise the Pirelli P1 for $126 would be a best buy for runflats

If you're interested, I have the OE runflat tires that came on my '11 MCS. They're 195/55R16 and have just under 5k miles on them with good tread left. I was going to sell them since I just got some perf A/S tires but hadn't gotten around to it. If we can work out a price, they can be shipped via USPS. In the past, that seemed to be the cheapest option for one w/o a UPS or FedEx business account. Pricewise, they'd be well under your stated max of $190 each...probably almost half that (barring haggling).

I have four almost new (less than 800 miles) came with my CPO I purchase last weekend if you interested. I plan to switch to a wider set very soon and getting ready to order from Tirerack.

Send me a PM if you still the market for it. $600 for all four.

Whatever you do, stay away from the Kumho SPT runflats. Terrible ride and they sound like mud tires on a 4x4.

I just installed Bridgestone Potenza RE960AS Pole Position RFT 195/55/16 on my 2009 MCS. The ride just as great as the Tire Rack road test said. I can only compare them to some NON RFT's I had on my Z4. These are just as quiet, run smooth...only have about 30 miles on them tonight but I am very impressed. $149/ea at the TireRack.

Bridgestones ER300-02 RFT

I run the Bridgestone ER300-02 RFT in the last two weeks as they came with the OEM wheels that I purchased with 3K miles on them. To my surprise the Bridgestone ER300 is a nice in comfort, handling quite well with plenty of stick as compared to the OEM ContiContact SSR RFT. But still very noisy on rough road...

However, I will be switching to Kumho ECSTA 4X..
