2010 Clubman replacement tires?

I have a 2010 Clubman with 15" wheels. My stock tires are worn at 20k miles and need to be replaced. Can anyone tell me what the largest tire I can get without any clearance issues would be? My local shop has exactly one (rather expensive) option for the stock size, and I'd like to keep the cost down.
It's just a commuter car, nothing out of the ordinary, so I don't need anything spectacular, just a decent tire.
Thanks!

I, too am looking replace my run flats with a more winter worthy tire. I would like to replace my 16" rf.'s for 17" tires. Also swapping out my chrome wheels for something in a gloss black.

Missnic and I would appreciate some feedback on the matter, thanks! I, too have a 2010 Clubbie...

If you have a spacesaver spare tire in your boot, get regular tires.

15" for stock???
On Clubman?
Are you sure?
In any case, buy 16 or 17 or 18, depending how radical of a look you want and follow the OEM tire size for a bigger rims. If you want to go crazy, you can go with even "fatter" size than OEM for each rim size (there is a lot of info. Here on that topic, do the search...).
run flats or not?
That is a BIG question on any MINI board. I ditched my run flats with every MINI I owned. The current one "lost" them on the first ride home from the dealer. If you want safety of not having a flat tire, go run flats. If you want more responsive and pleasant ride, go non run flat. Get a spare donut. There is a place in Clubman for it. Bottom line, price of the both sets. Compare.
Good luck.

Yep, the stock tires are 175/65/15. I don't want to change the wheels, just the tires - and they're not run flat, and I don't want run flat. I just need to know what the largest (wide/high) tire I can get away with, with no clearance issues.
My choices for replacing the stock size are on the expensive side, and I'm looking for something a bit cheaper.

have you looked at tirerack.com? Call and speak to Alex, he is the best and knows his stuff. You might be able to get a wider tire but slightly lower aspect ratio and keep the same overall diameter and not throw the speedo off.

Just this weekend discovered I have a spare!! Yay, that saves me $$$, as I want a decent regular winter tire. The dealership INSISTED I didn't have a spare, as my Clubman came with RF's. Decided to dig everything out of the boot and there it was!!

Tire calculator

Try one of tire calculator sites to see what works vs your original tires. My recollection is that one of the sites is miatatirecalculator.net. It works great in being able to see what impact a particular tire size will look like. Good luck!

Ok, pretty much settled on Enkei EDR9 17" black rims. Was able to see how they look on my Clubbie on Tirerack.com. Emailed them and they recommended Continental Extreme Contact DWS, 205/45ZR17's for my tire. Anyone have personal experience with this one? It's all season, and he said it does very well on ice and snow...thanks!

I love tirerack.com. I ordered a set of tires from them in the past. The one thing that bugs me is that they don't have spice orange on their color choices for the MSC, so it's hard to see what the wheels will look like on my car.

195/60-15 is a far more common size, fits, and has the same diameter within 2/10ths of an inch. TireRack has 65 different tires beginning at $63. They also have 13 175/65-15 tires beginning at $73.

Missnic, are you planning on keeping those rims ( the 15") or are you looking at different rims too? It sounds like that could give everyone else a better idea of wht you need.
