beating a dead horse.... best replacement for 17" runflat
I just spent about an hour on the TireRack website and am almost as confused coming out as I was going in. I narrowed my choices down a few, but would like some more specific feedback and advice.
JCW MCS, 17" wheels. Want performance tires, non-runflat. Handling is most important to me, with treadlife falling just behind ride/noise in importance.
I live in Nashville, TN so won't see any snow/ice with these nor huge amounts of rain like they have in the NW.
So far the tires I keep looking at are the Pirelli Asymetrico's, Yokohama AVS, and Yokohama Parada Spec-2's. (Forgive the poor spelling if I killed those.) The Pirellii ranks lower than both the Yoko's in the user surveys, but it's a completely different class of tire so I don't know how to read that.
How do you guys feel about these tires, and are there any other's I should consider?

whasup, I live in Cashville, too!
I just have some Kumho Ecstas on my MCS right now, but I am looking at th Yokos, too. I hope to have them ordered from Tire Rack soon. Sorry I don't have any suggestions as to what tires for you to get, but the Yoko ES100s are lookin pretty good now. Hope to see ya around!

Living in N.J..........our winter weather is terrible. I'm now running Blizzaks's LM 22 on 16" rims. HOWEVER, I deal with a performance shop who also is a Tire Rack dealer. For the spring/summer/fall/ I am running 17" Yoko AV ES 100's. These tires are FANTASTIC! They hold very well, are quiet and are not nearly as hard as the run flats. My MCS came with Pirelli runflats and they are TRASH! I also purchased new wheels from Tire Rack. A set for winter, 16", and a set for summer, 17". They weight difference from the factory wheels and the run flats is tremendous. The factory wheel/tire set up is something like 48 lbs, at EACH wheel. I switched my wheels which weigh 15lbs. each and the tires are 12 lbs. each. And believe you me.......you can really feel the difference. My recommendation is to get the Yoko's....you will not be disappointed, and some new wheels. I bought the Kosei Racing wheels from Alex at Tire Rack..... He is excellent to deal with and really knows all there is to know about the MINI tire/wheel combo's.
Here's my pick for performace and treadwear! 45k mileage warranty, W (168 mph)same water traction technoligy as S-03 (unity AQII) Bridgestone Potenza RE 950
