R50 / R53 Rotors different?

I have a warped front rotor on my 04 MC. There is a guy in the marketplace selling 06 MCS front rotors. Called the dealership and they say that R53 rotors are different than R50 rotors and that it wouldnt work. Is this true?

if you want documentation here's the Moss page for Brembo rotors showing one rotor for all 02 thru 06 hardtop, and 02 to 08 'vert (less JCW brakes of course) you may also want to compare what the marketplace cost is vs what you see here

http://www.mossmini.com/Shop/ViewPro...eIndexID=53106

AND check your local AutoZone, mine had pads and rotors for GEN1 on the shelf last time I checked

p.s. if I was doing rotors I sure be thinking about pads cuz you've already paid for most of the labor involved and why put a used pad against a new rotor?

Just checked with my parts supplier. The brake discs are the same thru June of 2006 and not for use with the JCW brake kit.

Yup No difference in R50/R53 or R52 brake disc unless you have JCW big brake kit. We use alot of Zimmerman and Brembo rotors that work great.

What a day for this question, We actually did 3 brake jobs today alone.
