TPMS question, 2010 MC and R81 wheels

I have a 2010 MC on order, with 15" wheels and performance tires. I have a set of first generation MINI OEM R81 holies that I wanted to mount snow tires on. I know they'll fit on the car, but I just started wondering, will they be compatible with the TPMS sensors?

And what's a reasonable price for a new set of TPMS sensors? Bavarian Auto is selling a complete set of the sensors and valves for $334. The markup must be incredible.

TireRack sells TPMS sensors for about $200. Alex is their rep here on NAM. He can get you squared away.

Ah, yes, I just found them in Tirerack. Although there was no direct link to them... the only way I've been able to add them so far is to add a tire/wheel package, then add the sensors it recommends, and then remove the package and add the wheels I want. Strange.

Any comments on whether the sensors will work with the MINI R81 wheels?

As I mentioned, talk to Alex. He's the TireRack rep here. He'll get you hooked up with what you need.

Just remember...TPMS sensors are completely different for 2010 models. 2007-2009 sensors will NOT work. I already learned that.
