nah, at a friends house and just not used to having to pull up on a handbrake that hard. I only pulled it up 2 clicks. oh well. I got the new bottom trim and think it will come back out ok. I put a heat gun to the bumper and got it about 90% acceptable looking.

anyways, not to thread jack. I like all the breytons just recently posted. looking good.

Bavarias finest -are those 17's?

How is the ride on the 18's for those who have them?

I will be going from a 17 and i am trying to decide on the 17's or the 18's

Yes, I decided not to go 18's since I plan on lowering it a half an inch, and don't want any unnecessary rubbing. I also went from the perspective of lighter is better, and most people can't tell the difference too since they fit just right.

to answer the above question... If i had to do it over again, i'd probably run 17's. 18's are fine, but yes the ride is a bit rough and I really have to pay attention to any bad road conditions. What's nice about these rims is that the spokes come all the way to the edge, so a 17 on these looks almost like an 18 if that makes sense?

lol, an 18" wont rub any more than a 17" inch. they both have the same overall diameter and width if you go with the correct plus sizing when it comes to tires.

i have the 18s and I am really glad I did. I don't notice any difference between the 17 s lites w/runflats and 18s w/yokohamas when it comes to ride harshness.

Do they rub?

The breytons have a different offset so they stick out a bit more. they rub only over big dips in the road.

I noticed on a BMW forum that they have the Breyton GTS and GTS-R. Is the R lighter? Anyone know how much the 18's weigh?

I'm trying to decide between Tenzo type M and the Breytons but I read the Tenzos are heavy. I also see in 18, the Breyton comes in black painted, black with red stripe, matte grey, matte grey with stripe and silver. I'm only wanting a plain matte black wheel, is the black painted or black with red stripe a gloss or matte finish? If its gloss I may have to buy the silver and powdercoat them :-(

The black is a matte black with red stripe. I know a guy with a BMW 135i that has em!

Is the black without a red stripe matte? I wish I could call the manufacturer and get all my questions answered about color/ weight/ etc...

I am thinking about getting a set of these in silver. How do these hold up over time? Atlanta is the pothole capital of the world and I just bent one of my older TSW Kyalami for the second time. I am not sure it's worth repairing again.

Do those H&R springs make the car drive much harsher?
Will order a set of those wheels and tires maybe tomorrow.
Thanks,
-Mike

Yes, but I like it. The harsh ride from me is running the 18's. with the 205/40's. not a lot of rubber between rim and street.

I'm in Kennedale, TX so really close to you
Do you have any picture of the car before lower? Promise to destroy them right away after seeing them :-)
I may do 215/40/18 to get a bit more runner even tho I know it will be bigger than the spec.

Did you paint those with red stripes or they come with it?
Thanks,
