I have been hunting all over and in the end I really like These Wheels. Any opinions or other selections I ought to look at?

Light weight and inexpensive wheel. I looked into these prior to my purchase.

IMO: thumbs up.

Post pics when you get 'em installed.

Those are very good wheels. Both Centerline and SSR are among the best wheels - light, strong, and high quality. IMO 5 spokes are a little dated and a little too common, but still a good looking design. I prefer certain 8, 10 or 12 spoke designs more.
Side note - Black MINIs look great with highly pollished wheels.

I guess I'm dated. I went with a 5 spoke design also. But, I like 'em.

Ok goin440, put up or, um........

Please send me a link to the ones you are refering to.

I do like a wide spoke pattern for ease of cleaning.

I have the centerline RPM 17x7 in polished.

The Impulse is good for 5 spoke pattern. Clean lines and classic. No nonsense. They will be easy to keep clean- just wax with wheelwax.
The centerlines in polished are similar to chrome without the added expense of about $400 more per set of 17" rims and minus 2 pounds heavier per rim. But the polished is not as durable and will scratch. You can use a metal polish to improve the finish if it gets dirty or tarnished.
The RPMs I have a light at about 14 pounds for 17x7, This helps acceleration alot. They are strong and perform well.

Well those do not look so bad. I am trying to use a smaller wheel with a larger sidewall. Do you have a pic of the mini side-on?

A search for SSR wheels turned these pics up. Shown is 16x6.5---which is SCCA Stock class legal. 17x7 still weigh in at about 12lbs though. I know there are more colors available, just can't find them....

I do like the light 12 lb wheels, but really do want a non-polished finish.

Here is a link to SSR wheels at tirerack.com

SSR Wheels @ Tire Rack

If you like the Centerline Impulses, you can always send them out to get painted/powder coated somewhere. Would be a bit more expensive though. Honestly, polished looks great. Don't let anyone change your mind.

I have recently looked at these

http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/Displ...odel=K1+Racing

I am really wondering what the difference in weight would make.

$164 is the Centerline wheels price.

$129 is the Tire Rack Wheels price.

I am currently leaning towards the Tire rack wheels, as the cost to weight reduction ratios (sounds technical huh?) seem to be in favor of having a few more pounds and keeping my cash.
