My new white wheels are great. I love them. My wife loves. Even my son, who has no taste at all, loves them. But, yes, they show dirt and require lots of attention. I don't mind, because I only drive Mini on weekends and wash it EVERY week. But, c'mon, I can't drive to the supermarket and come back without the ever-present black brake dust monster leaving his calling card. Anyone out there have any experience with the "EBC Green Stuff" brake pads??? Do they REALLY reduce the amount of brake dust you see (or is it just green brake dust)??? Are they safe for light duty use (no racing)?

i have Pro Drive P1's and the EBC greenstuffs (installed @ Helix) They cut down brake dust remarkably well. I've had them on my car since early summer, along with stainless lines and slotted rotors. I drive my car hard, brake feel is amazing. I know some MCO'ers are running the Red Stuff...I'm pretty happy with the greens.

i plan on getting the ebc greenstuff ASAP after getting my mcs with white wheels. plus i plan on applying either some rejex polish or some wheel wax to help repel the black crud.

otherwise, i've heard pretty much anything else other than the stock brake pads is better dust-wise.

Hi
I read (and searched without avail) somewhere there is a product that can be put onthe wheels to help them not collect the dust as readily ...and allows for quiker clean up. Does anyone Know the name or where to get it? thanks
a bunch

When you guys have stuff done like this to your car (aftermarket mods, brakes, etc.), do you buy the parts and have the dealer install them, DIY, or have someone else do them for you? Just curious if you guys trust your cars to the "local mechanic".

rrypma - installation is easy if you have the tools, otherwise it's up to you who to pay.

The Green Stuff pads are excellent at reducing dust, as well as improving pedal feel. No, the dust isn't green (silly!), and yes, there will still be a teeny, itty-bitty amount of dust. Instead of cleaning twice a day like stock pads, you'll clean once a week with Green Stuff, seriously.

White wheels + stock brake pads + a week of driving with no washing = gray wheels.
