Longer Lug Bolt for 2005 MCS?

Hey people, I have a quick question regarding lug bolts.

I am trying to mount a wheel with ET33 and was afraid that the stock lug bolts would be too short to be safe. I believe the stock length is 28.2mm? (Not Sure, can anyone confirm?)

Also, the 2005 MINI size is M12 x 1.5 correct?

I would really appreciate if anyone can comment on the safety issue and confirm the sizes!

Thank you in advance

The wheel offset (ET33) has nothing to do with the length of lug bolt that you need. The thickness of the wheel where it mounts to the hub is the only thing that matters. I would guess that the wheel thickness would be very similar to the stock wheel. If you use wheel spacers then you need longer lug bolts.

Thank you very much for a FAST reply
So I shouldn't worry about it since I won't be running spacers right?

I'd take the lug bolt and put it in the wheel with the wheel OFF the MINI and see how many threads you can count, less then 6 I'd be worried. If that's the case you may want to get a TSW Stud Kit.

I separate issue to think about is the amount of offset you can have in the rear without rubbing. I had 38mm offset on 17x7" wheels with 215x40 tires and had slightly rubbing with my car lowered with H&R springs. I had to trim the rear inner wheel well to eliminate the rubbing. You are adding 5mm more offset than I had so you have even more chance of rubbing but it all depends on what size wheels and tires you are installing.

I would be runnign 195s all around as the wheel is only 6.5 wide. Maybe when I up the lip size.. But I am willing to run some camber to tuck it safely! Thank you again for your advise
