Confirm torque spec on brake caliper bolts?

Would someone confirm that the torque spec of the 2 bolts that hold on the brake calipers (2006 MCS stock brakes -not JCW) is:
rear 48 ft/lbs,
front is 81ft/lbs?

81 sure feels like a lot to me, so I just want to verify it before cranking it up to that.

Thanks in advance

These specs would be for the caliper mount cage to the spindle. Not any smaller slider pin bolts.

Fronts M12 bolts (bolt size, not socket size)
Rears M10 bolts " "

Both specs appear well within proper range.

Just to be clear, I changed brake pads only, so I just removed the caliper (two 7mm allen socket size). Those are the ones I am interested. I didn't remove the other part that you need to remove to change the rotors.

This is the top one in the picture.

Sorry, my brake part terminology isn't up to par.

And that's why I mentioned it...You'd snap those in a heartbeat. The specs you are referring to are for the mount bolts- to the right of your arrow. Red arrow are perhaps "guide pins" in the book text?

Thanks for your replies Todd. Good thing I never even got those close to those specs!

Just to tie off this thread, I did more searching and it looks like these are the correct specs:
guide bolt (7mm) : 25-30 nm (so thats about 19-22 ft lbs)

reviving this old thread..

I tried torquing the rear caliper mount bolts to 110nm (81.13ft-lbs) as listed in that doc aem posted, but that must be for the front only - I actually stretched the bolt getting it in there, stopped turning because it didnt feel right! So glad it didnt break. It should be 48ft-lbs for the rear, right?

From the Bently Manual: The bolt that bolts the bracket on (collar bolt) is 81 ft-lbs for the front brakes and 48 ft-lbs for the rear.

How about for the JCW in the front? The caliper is directly bolted to the hub assy so is it 81 ft lbs?

The Bentley manual doesn't give a torque spec for the JCW for that bolt. It does list it as an M12 x 1.5. Since that is the same size as on the non-JCW, I would imagine that the torque would be the same (81ft-lb)
