wilwood clearance query

a friend who's had 2 Minis in the past was clearing out his garage recently and found that he still had a brand new 12.19" wilwood BBK, went to his place a while a go to check it out, twas love at first sight

although i'm not sure that it will fit the new rims that i just got for my Mini. the rims' specs are: 17x7.5 with +45 offset. the BBK kit DOES come with spacers but they looked rather thick and i'm afraid that putting them on will make the front rims stick out

so will the BBK fit without the spacers?

It's possible. Mine fit without spacers, barely. I think my offset is 43. How many MM are the spacers?

TBH, i was too excited to even notice how thick the spacers are but i already sent my friend a text message asking about it

i did check out the spacers, they looked pretty thick to me, must be for the factory S-lites or OEM 16" wheels

FWIW, I have the same kit with R90 (17 X 7s) and no spacers needed. The R90's are et48.45et's might be close may need 5mm spacers(little more than 3/16'')

Try an H&R 5mm spacer. It's not enough to make your front wheels "stick out." Do you track your car? If so, the added width up front is a good thing, and so is the BBK for that matter.

Find out what pads he's got with the kit - the bp-10 or 20 for the street work great.

It's all about the spoke design.

Agreed. It is all a matter of the design of the spoke and the construction of the wheel, not just the offset.

spoke design and construction...got it

my rims are almost the same in spec with Volk RE30 forged wheels which seem to have plenty of space in the rear and thin spokes. theoretically, will it fit?
