I am interested in a set of BBS wheels for the street for my MINI. Looks count too.

There is a set of RK localy, anyone know if i can get centering rings for those to fit the MINI 56.1 hub? Will 14mm studs fit on a BBS wheel normaly.

I don't know about the RK's....but definitely check because 14mm lugs wouldn't fit in the BBS RM's that I just tried test fitting on my new ride.

 

Drill them out?

 

Definitely a possibility if your RK's end up being 12mm. It isn't too expensive...I just heard of a place only charging $20 a wheel to enlarge the holes.

 

You could also consider some 14mm-12mm conversion studs. A set of the studs + nuts costs more than having one set of wheels professionally drilled out, but less than having two sets of wheels drilled out, so if you think that these BBS wheels might not be the last wheels you put on your car, it's something to think about.

anyway, should i expect issues with the center bore on these? VW is 57.1 so it should fit on the MINI, no?

 

Yah....if these are currently installed on a VW, the hubbore will be big enough to fit the MINI's hub which is smaller than a VW's.

 

Possible fly in the ointment here... Doesn't the BBS RK only come in a five-lug bolt pattern?

 

Rk come in 4 x 100. rare tho.

update, the wheels fit the lugs no problem. The clear is damaged on all the wheels but i will refinish them myself. I picked them up for 300 the set. Center caps are BBS originals. Wheels still have the german stickers on them.

4 x 100, 17 x 7J et 42. BBS RK.

17 lbs.

Pic.. weird chromish coating...probably was dipped once before and that is why the clear is comming off. That will be fixed later on this month.
