If you need more clearance in the rear you can use more rear negative camber- add adjustable lower control arms.

Using 215/35-18 or 225/35-18 tires you should be fine with moderate lowering 1" front and rear.Originally Posted by Robmaster
what's about a 17x8" with ET35? will this rub with lowring?
Again, more negative rear camber will increase clearance if needed.
Don't use tires that are taller than stock 24.3" tire diameter.
Rear lower control arms-
Various vendors:
http://www.helix13.com/mini/products/suspension-chasis $229 for pair.
or
http://www.outmotoring.com/mini-coop...es/suspension/
From $190 to $247 per pair. Weights and appearance vary, they are functional, only lower control arms need upgrade to adjust for rear negative camber.
4th Gear
Both should fit fine.
I was running 18x8 et 38mm lowered 30-33mm - fine.
Now running 18x7.5 et42 (but with 5mm spacers upfront so effectively et 37mm) lowered 30-33mm - fine.
