Here's my LB/B 2013 MCS with factory 16" black twin spokes (same R128 as eaglebeagle just got), and I love 'em too, they're great shoes for Tess!

Hmmmm, 16s look a lot smaller on a Mini than they do on a CRX. I may have to put 18s on!

What year Mini do you have?

I think 16's look perfect on the 02-06 models, but on the newer/bigger models I would agree that 16's look too small. But if you get coilovers or nice lowering springs it will make the wheels appear bigger since the wheel-well gap will be reduced.

But then again, aesthetics are very subjective, so to each his own. I would never put 18's on a Mini, not even a new one, I just don't like the look of it from what I've seen.

I dont own a Mini yet, just what I am seeing in the pictures here. I still have the set of 16s from my previous CRX that I thought of refinishing and slapping on new rubber for when I do get my Mini in Augest.
Maybe 17s be better size?

It's up to you really, if you get a R56 or newer, yeah I'd say go with 17's for sure. But if you get a R53, 16's or 17's are great but I prefer 16's. I've seen a couple R53's with 18's that look good, but not my taste. If you want 18's and like the look of them, go for it, Mini's are as individual or even more so than the EG/EF/CRX Civics.

Those are very similar to the Konig Tuners Ive kept from my CRX. I think with that set, the Mini should be lowered.

16x6.5 +44 SSR Type-C on 205/50/16. I rattle canned them red, I really like the look. Not exactly "stanced" but everything fits well and no rubbing even after lowering it.

I realize how old this thread is, but I didnt want to add these to the RB gallery even if they are Rotas.

16x7 40et Slipstream with 205x50 pilot sport 4. 16" definitely suit the Mini better, the smaller wheel with the taller profile helps it look more like a classic mini.

How did you find PS4s in 205/50/16? There's practically no choices for decent tires in that size in the US.

I love the Rota Slipstreams, I had those on my 1991 CRX, they were perfect on that car. I have never had any problems with Rota wheels in the past. Your car looks great!

I was surprised myself. I had the choice of these, Proxes or Ad08r's all in 16 & all in the country at the same time. makes me think I should buy a second set while they are available . . . . . .

These are 7' wide Slipstreams. But Rota also did a set seemingly just for the Mini: 16x6.5 45et 56.1 center hole <~~ 3mm less offset & they are only 13.1 pounds each, but finding them is impossible. Rota in the philipines never emailed back :-(
