Pics of 16" wheels on your MINI?

i will try and see what i have for rpm @ 120kph in 5th, speedo will prolly think 124, i will have to do a quick bit o math
i have run 205/45R16 for a while now without any issues
i like the extra zip off the line and lower cg
have to watch for steep ramps esp with my h-sport springs
only trade off, speedo is off by a decent chunk at highway speeds 3-4mph, and revs are a tad higher when cruising on the highway (but you have one more gear than me, mc=5 speed), but neither of those are things that bother me...

it'll keep me under the speed limit.
my dd's running lower profilevs stock and im happy with it so wanted to try on my MCS as well.
thanks!
I've a few.

Great thread! I think 16's are the best overall wheel for the Mini for balancing performance, feel, comfort, looks, and MPG. Although I think if you use anything more than a 50 series tires it starts looking a bit goofy/offroadish to me.
Anyone know what wheels these are?

Rota boost is a copy of those advan rg2 if you Iike the look but wanna do it on the cheap. It won't be as light though. I believe 17inch and above the weight is 20+ lbs. while the real deal is 17lbs, probably less at 16".
Thanks for the info. I'm not getting any knockoff wheels as the goal is to reduce weight as much as possible.
I've been looking at good condition used wheels like Volk CE28's, TE37's, SSR Comps, etc. These RGII's aren't quite as light as those, but if I can find a used set I'll consider them.

I guess it just depends on your definition of "light," for me anything over 13lbs for a 16" wheel is out of the question, and anything over 15lbs for a 17" is too much. So you can imagine my feeling towards the 17" S-Lites that are on my car now at 25lbs. Bleh.
If I can get ahold of the wheels I really want, Sprint CP035R in 16x7 I'll be able to drop almost 70lbs of unsprung weight.

S-light rims are heavy as crap...
But the 16' x-lite (aka r-84) is actually a decent weight...pretty light...even popular with suto -x.
Very different rims....different weight and size!!

They're 11.6lb each, you'd be lucky to find something lighter.

Yes, I'm lowered nearly 2". I get a slight rub when I roll over speed bumps too quickly or very hard cornering. (Only on the rear) I honestly don't hear when it happens. I just found out 2 days ago when cleaning the car.
But, I have rear adjustable control arms, and fixed cambered strut mount bearing in front.

White R84's on an '03 EB/W MCS
From my previous 2003 MCS, EB/W, here are some white R84's
I've always liked stock 16" rims, and tried to find the lightest.
After ditching the OEM runflats, I had Goodyear Eagle F1's in size 215/50/16 on the R84's, they rocked!
Once I get some good pics I will post my new ride, a 2013 LB/B MCS, this time with stock 16" R128's in black...
