just ordered some Enkei 18s!

im glad i found these, i like these alot better than the Konig hotswaps i was going to buy!

http://wheelsnext.com/wheels-rims/EN...k%20Gloss.html

and of course, i stuck with the same tire that i have now on my s-lites, the nitto neogens in 215/35/18. total price for the tires, rims, "installation kit" which is the hubcentric rings, lugs, valve stems, etc., and warranty on the lifetime of the tire for free REPLACEMENT $1350 shipped mounted and balanced! discount tire direct.com FTW!!!!!

wheels next wouldnt match the price of the neogens, they sell them for 133 each, discount is 103 each!!!! so i hung up, called discount tire direct, THEY SPECIAL ORDERED me the enkei zr2 rims direct from enkei, they arent even a wheel they normally stock.

im very pleased with this company.

all in all, these rims in total for 1350 were $113 dollars more than the hotswaps. worth it in every way IMO. much better looking wheel.

im going to powdercoat the center caps black if their metal. if not, paint.

Great choice. Simple. Good brand. Higher quality than the Motegi RT5 that I have (that you were considering) and for an extremely competitive price.

Post pics when they are mounted up.

im kind of worrying right now until i call Enkei tomorow...look at their site:

http://www.enkei.com/Performance%20specs/zr2.html

theres no "gloss black".

i called earlier to Enkei and asked about it, she said there is no gloss black, but she didnt even know whether the center silver cap was metal or plastic. said to call back when the guys were out of their meeting. which i was washing the MINI so i couldnt, they're closed now, so i gotta call tomorow.

i dont see how wheelsnext can list it though as gloss if they dont exsist.

I was actually going to post about that. They are only available in anthracite or silver. Wheelsnext may have the exclusives to gloss black only, but you will have to check with Enkei on that.

they dont. its all anthracite!

just canceled just in time before Enkei shipped it out.

i just switched to the Konig Hotswaps in black, with the same tire.

saved 146 bux.

oh well, i still like the hotswaps, i just liked the Enkei's better :(

i know it does, but i didnt order it from them, their price was too high. they sell the nitto neogens for 133 each shipped, the place i got them from it 103 each shipped, 120 bux less, thats a 5th tire!

discount tire direct has done me right, so ill continue to order from them. i was looking at the fireballed MINI (the r56) with the hotswaps, they look clean IMO (will look better on my r53 of course )
