your suggestion on MIchellin or Pirelli

hello mini owners...im about to order 4 sets of tires from tirerack either today or tommorow....im still thinking of what to order betweeen these two option....

michellin 205/45 17 pilot exalto pe2 for 126 each or

pirelli 215/45 17 pzero nero m+s .. for 135 each...

i think pirelli will give a better look with wider size but im also a fan of michellin.... as for performance and overall quality what would you choose? your thoughts would be very well appreciated. thanks.

The Pirelli's wouldn't be bad except for the mud and snow rating. I'd say the Michelin's myself.

michelins, hands down. i've owned both brands on numerous occasions and the pirellis just never wear as well as i'd hoped. both options you mention are pretty good out-of-the-box, but the michelins will hold up better over time.

i'm riding michelins now.

Read a review that rated the Nero Zero M&S equal to the Nero Zero summer tire. They were surprised. Can't remember the mag. I buy the all season because in TN that's all you need for a snow tire.

Oh yeah...I got between 12000 and 13000 miles on the Pirellis. Same for the kumho ASX I tried.
Never used the Michelins,..they might get more miles.
