215 for 17x7 VS. 215 for 17x7.5
215 for 17x7 VS. 215 for 17x7.5
ok so i want an aggressive stance for the city... i currently have rims that are 7inches wide and i was planning to put 215's on them. but i got a good deal with these rims that are 7.5inches wide... since i heard issues fitting wide tires in lowered r53's and i want to lower the car a lil more eventually then i'm stuck with 215's.... so will there be a width difference between putting 215's on a 7 inch and a 7.5 inch wide rims? thanks.
sorry for a long reply, busy all weekend... the wheel i was interested in is the Kazera KZ-A Dual PCD 17x7.5 with 45mm offset. it has the nismo look, the ones they offer for the 350z.

...seems to me that to keep the backspace the same you'd need an offset of about 35 or so, otherwise you might be rubbing on the inside somewhere....with a 45 offset you'll probably need a spacer
I'm running 215/45/17 on 17x7.5 with et 42. They are on a GP which has the JCW suspension, about 1 inch lower than stock, and have no issues at all. I had also ran same tire on 17x7 with et37 and no issues as well. Hope this helps
Running 215/45 on 17x7s with ET45 I was getting some rubbing at full compression with 5mm spacers in the rear and 15mm up front and JCW suspension (which actually has only about a 1/2" drop btw). No rubbing now with no spacers in the rear and 8mm up front.
i would understand that 215/45/17 has a bigger diameter than stock size (205/45/17). how about running 215/40/17? whats the diameter compared with stock? maybe we can run this and still be wider and have cushion close to stock?
