I Have Run Flats??!

When i ordered my car i wanted regular tires. I took delivery of the car back in march. I never thought to even check them. The only reason its a issue is that i wanted to put snow tires on and my tire guy can't do run flats due to how stiff the sidewall is. Now i got to spend more money accross the street at the place that has the right machine. WTF!

Or do what lots of us have done is get a set of steel wheels or low cost 15" or 16" wheels and put regular snows on them. The savings vs 17" snows may cover part of the cost of the steel rims.

That is what i will do next time. The snow tires i have are from my last car and they happen to fit on the mini (lucky me). They only have 1 winter left, so i will just hold out. Till next winter to buy rims/tires.

i checked my invoice, if i got run flats, then i didn't pay for them. Do i have any recourse with my dealer?

Run flat tires are standard equipment on 16", 17" and 18" OEM wheels.

They are? They don't look like that on the online config tool. The list the 17" with performace tires and they list other optional wheels with run flats.

Whether categorized as performance or all-season they're still run flats.

Those are OEM 16x6.5 R84 wheels. They can be used on all models with standard brakes except the R56 MCS and upcoming R55 MCS.

I'd be suspicious of any tire shop that does not have the most modern equipment. Ask if they do "road force balancing". If not, go elsewhere.

I am not worries at all about my tire guy. He is local and has been doing busiiness with me and several people i know for quit a few years. He has always been honest.

As for the mounting he has a deal with the service station across the street to take care of my car.
