Porsche brake conversion
I've yet to see a kit to adapt the Porsche brakes to a Mini. What parts do you have? Calipers, rotors and hats or just calipers? If it's jsut the calipers I think you might find them to big for a Mini rotor. Hats will need to be modifed to fit the Mini hubs. In theory it's an interesting idea but in practice there may be to many little bits that need to be done to make it cost effective. I'm guessing you are the same Aero88 thats also on the metroplexminis forum. Down where you are located Bavarian Hyper Sports would be a good place to visit to have this done. They might be be able to help you with Aero kit thing you want done too.
Just so all of you know...GTT makes a Porsche conversion kit. I dont know their website or anything but I looked into it a long time ago, then I jsut bought the Dinan/Brembo kit because it was local and a excellent solution. But they are made and GTT has them. Google them!
Good luck.
Good luck.

I drool over the P-car brakes.Of course, under the right conditions, you could probably do an endo with those brakes on a MINI. Which would be fun to watch. But not so much if you were driving...
Ok, so I have the uber-Porsche brake setup on my Cayenne Turbo & y'all are right -they're sweeter than sweet. The red massive calipers/rotors peeking out behind the Turbo twist rims looks smokin hot. I know the Cayenne is wayyyy heavier than a Mini, but in terms of braking performance I'm happier with the Texas Speedwerks setup on my Cooper. In terms of cost, performance, ruggedness, etc. I'd go with TSW on your Mini. Short-term & long-term it's my opinion you'll get every performance characteristic you're looking for at the best cost breakdown with TSW. I'm going to need to do some brake pad, caliper routine service work at the Porsche dealership & guess how much.........$2,000.00.

I have everything. I'm waiting for my spacers to come in though.
You said, "I have everything..." May I ask what "everything" is?
I'm interested in this kit, but I'm sure there are rebuilt Porsche Parts out there to ease the blow to the wallet. Yes I know there are cheaper kits I can get, but the Porsche kit isn't as common.
Excuse me for the 6yr delay.
