TPMS beep?
TPMS beep?
ok guys, im contemplating not swapping over TPMS from my R56 bridge spokes onto my volks. question is... will the TPMS constantly beep? or does it just beep like when i start the car and it wont beep again?
Why not just put them on the Volks? Takes less than 5 minutes for all 4 with the tires unmounted...
Gotcha... To answer your question, I'm not sure at all but I would think it won't constantly beep. The warning symbol will just always be on. My friend doesn't have the sensors on his Range Rover Sport and he just gets the warning symbol and the beep when he first turns the car on...
What Volks did you get?
P.S.: FYI, you don't have to unmounted the tire to take the sensor off, nor put it back on. At our shop we learned to just break the seal and use the machine to drop the tire a bit right where the valve stem is. Giving you enough room to take it off and put a new valve stem in place. I think Volks accept the TPMS sensors just like factory wheels so you could look at that option...

I would just swap over the sensors to the new wheels. Most places can do it for like $2.50-5.00 per wheel.
awesome. yea looks like im gonna have to go to americas tire and have them swap out the TPMS. i have to do lug stud conversion in the parking lot adjacent to americas tire cuz they said they will not mount the tires on my car with wheel studs.
Are you doing the lug/stud conversion because the holes are too small in the new wheels? If so, just drill the holes out with a 9/16" drill bit. Not much material has to be removed for the stock lug bolts to fit.
i figured it would be easier for me to sell my volks, if i ever needed to, if i kept them M12 sized. believeeeeeee me, it took a lot of contemplating on my part as far as what i should do. plus the wheels are powder coated and if i were to drill into them, im sure the powdercoating would crack
