Thanks! I'm so tempted to buy a full set of real bronze wheels now, not only do I love the color but I love the width! Going from stock to 7x7.5et35... oooohhhhhhh

It looks like your OE rims grew up, took a look at themselves in the mirror, and turned white! In a good way, of course. Amazing how the white wheels lend such a huge difference in overall appearance compared to the black.

I have been racking my brain lately about wheels for my Astro Black Metallic 2009 MCS. I have tried numerous vendors trying to find what I like, only to find they were out of stock and on backorder with no date to receive new orders. After much searching and disappointment, I finally located a company in Pompano Beach, Fl (Wheelfire.com) that actually had the wheel I wanted to begin with.

18x8 Kyowa Evolve in Flat Black

I wanted a set of TOYO PROXES 4, but settled for a set of KUMHO AST 215/35-18.

Barring nothing goes wrong, Tackleberry will be rolling on some new wheels and tires by next Friday.

I agree, I've had the white wheels sitting in my garage since October and finally put them on this week. I had initially planned on painting them, but I'm going to give it some time to get used to them before I make that decision final.

Nice contrasting color, what about putting that same orange on the mirror caps?

The finish on my Rota RBs started peeling off. Not sure if RBs are known for that, so I decided to get new wheels.

Only an iPhone photo but hoping to post some better pics soon.

My 17x7 Focal F10's (+38mm), wrapped in 205/45/17 General Exclaim UHP's. Freshly painted "Grabber Green" by yours truly.

Can't decide whether to go plasti-dip black on gas cap, or body color. Same thing with door handles.

Also deciding on caliper color still...maybe will do white, or black with white mini logo's.

There's a few videos on YouTube. Search DIY wheel paint and you will find instructions on how to with tires on.

1/2/3

1. Clean wheels with soapy water / rinse / dry.
2. Sand with 400 or 600 sand paper to scuff them up a bit.
3. Apply primer / 2-3 coats of paint / 1-2 coats of clear.

Use notecards to make sure the paint doesn't hit the tires. Works like a charm every time.

After first coat of paint:

19.80 LBS, not too light, too heavy. Looking forward to getting them mounted soon.

When I painted mine I went a bit further.
Sandblasted. Left a ruff surface, but I decided to leave it. A bit of a different finish. If you wanted a smooth finish you can spray on and sandable primer.

Take note that Before my first layer of primer I used a was/grease remover.
