I would have been there but spent all Saturday on the NEMINI 5 Guys Burger Rally in CT and then had guests over on Sunday. You should check us on www.nemini.org
It's going to be a busy MINI year!
BTW, love the wheels

Those go beautifully on your car! Great color match to tie into the stripes.

The circles tie into the MINI design language and look right at home.

Nice, thoughtful work!

NICE! One of the best looking "different" wheels I've ever seen on a Mini! Most wheels don't go but IMO those are the bomb, well done

Finally, I had a chance to take pics of my "actual size" go-kart (JCW) and before I put her up for sale.

The flags represent where I was born, raised, visited and plan to visit in the near future.

My 64 is sitting on 5zigen, and wearing 215/45/17 rubbers.

Finally decided

Well after looking at all the pics in this thread I have decided to go with the original design that it seems many of the wheels available for our cars have been copied from. I just cant decide what finish to go with.

Should I go with...

Chrome:

OR...

Oak:

I wish I could find something that's not based on a design over 100 years old. Maybe I should go old school and go with full face granite.

No it's not...

It's sardonic not sarcastic. And it was born from frustration. I find wheels I like and they don't fit our cars. Almost everything that fits is one form or another of the "classic" wagon wheel design. I wish some bold wheel designer would break the mold and come up with something different but still sporty. I think I'm going to get someone to make a 17" copy of my race cart's wheels.

I can understand your frustration insomuch as I've absolutely fallen in love with a number of wheels that don't fit our cars, but I can't say as I've ever felt like our platform is hurting for the lack of variety.

Do you have any particular wheel styles that you wish were available MINIsize?
