That is d6-mcs's MINI, and I believe he no longer has it..... the wheels are Keskins and the stance is insane due to a LOT of work that many people just don't want to do. There is a lot more than meets the eye and I believe you give up ALL of your performance running a setup like that...not to mention it's very expensive!
Coen, what wheels are those?

Nice beater! My "beater":

In keeping with the wheel discussion, they're SSR GT2's. 18x8.5. I WISH I could put a set on the Mini. They're discontinued, though, and I don't think they were ever offered in 4x100.

Here's his (d6-mcs) post about this setup. It doesn't sound that complicated at all.

you also have to take into account that he had to find the perfect offsets and widths. If someone just takes his measurements....then yah its gonna be easier. He tried do something that had never been done before and did all the work by himself. He was made fun of and harassed by NAMers to the point that he left NAM and eventually sold the car....though it's still in similiar shape.

coming from someone who has done the same stance...it's a lot more work than you think it is

no fender mods or custom suspension just kw v1 coil overs. later"....it didn't sound like it, but I'll take your word for it too.
Also, it's unfortunate but I don't get why NAMers would make fun of somebody who has their own taste...that's just plain ignorant & stupid.

considering this is what d6-mcs said..."here ya go.....17x8 in front on a 205/40/17 and a 17x9 in rear on a 215/40/17

From reading some of the old thread, I think THIS is the main reason people were giving Chris a hard time. There's got to be a reason why at most tire shops it's a no-no, and it's likely a safety issue. It may not end up being a problem if you're just cruising the car, but I think a lot of (most?) people here are thinking in terms of serious cornering, and that's where tire (mis)fit issues are going to cause problems.
"the FIRE method"???
I don't think I want to know...
Gotta admit, though, he did a great job of achieving "the look".
shame shameDrift cars run stretched tires.....that's some pretty serious cornering.

People just mock things that they don't know about.
*uh... guilty*
They do?!?! I didn't know that. I'd think a stretched tire would pop right off the rim when sliding sideways. Huh, learned something new.
True.
Thanks guys!! I love It too.. the black Palo Uber scoop will be replaced by a carbon fiber one. Als the bootstrip and the mirrorcaps in carbon fiber! :D
