Hey, I've got the exact same rack (usually with a windsurfer attached) but I'm not going for any kind of "style" with my car. Seems like if you're into designer wheels and such, an off-the-shelf rack just kills the look and the lines of the car. Kind of like wearing workboots with an Armani suit. Ok, I guess that could actually work, but you know what I mean.

I'm not feeling the rack or the wheels. But I believe his MINI looks top notch in a scene full of VWs with roof racks and porsche wheels. I'll put it this way; his is the best euro styled MINI I've seen.

Please start a new thread entitled, "Show us your roof rack!" I'm sure it will be extremely popular.

Thanks to everyone here who has offered tips and info in this forum accessible from searching!

I smashed up the piggybank and sprung for some new shoes on Twiggy. Wedsport TC005 gunmetal 17" that Tirerack has on closeout right now.
EDIT: Ooops, forgot to also add the weights...
  • Stock 17" S-Lite from rear with a Pirelli POS RF that had a good amount of tread left = 49.0lbs.
  • Weds TC005 w/ GY F1 GS-D3 215/45-17" = 37.2lbs.

Here's how they look (appologies in advanced for the ever so original parking garage composition)...

Cheers!

So when is someone going to get the 17" ASA AR2 wheels and post a pic?

I know it's a lot like the AR1, but...

Well done, speednut! But it's hard to go wrong when you start with an all-DS JCW. Classiest Mini bar none. I should know.

This thread is supposed to be all about wheels but I must say that I REALLY like that bonnet! I've never seen one like it and I'm impressed! Where would you even find a bonnet like that?

As a fellow NAMer said, "I know this is a "wheels" thread..."

Do you have your MINI posted on other areas of NAM or the Internet? I'd love to comments/ask about some other features I've noticed. You have a really sweet ride there!
