I think the only thing I don't like about them is the Porsche emblem in the center. Don't get me wrong I loooove Porsches but I'm not crazy about the mismatched cross-emblem thingy.

imma be honest....i LOVE the wheels and i think the idea of the conversion and all that is just sick but, in my opinion the chrome package and the alloy wheel just doesnt blend. to me alloy and chrome is cool of you have spoke wheels. it looks so good though dont get me wrong...i just think the brightness of the wheel gets ruined by the chrome trim somehow. i would love to see either the wheels in a black with alloy lip or maybe even a gun metal with a alloy lip. i think it would tie in nicely.
big time points on the idea and i love the vw throwback...showin your roots!!!!

great job!

now thats putting them out there. I'd like to see a pic of the wheels from a higher elevation, to see the adaptor business. (viewing through one of the holes)

I'm sporting my holies right now, them porsche wheels look great.

Reading Rival's post about chrome vs. alloy got me to thinking: does anyone make a "true" spoke wheel for our MINI's? I'm not sure what it would look like, but it would might look real sweet on a convertible. Anyone seen or heard of spokes for MINI?

Now I would have never thought of those wheels.........nice job! This is what I think is cool. Anyone can get aftermarket rims and put them on a car but when you take OEM wheels from another manufacturer and make them fit.......now that is something special. The chances of others having the same look is very slim.

For some reason, i really like the look of steel rims. Now I need some lowering springs...

Anyway, these are steel rims from a 2002 Honda Civic EX, size 15x6 bolt 4x100, offset is 40~45mm.
Tires: Kumho ecsta 711, size is 205/50/15

The centerbore is slightly different isn't it? Is it close enough that you don't need a centering ring?

These are my new everyday wheels, except when there is heavy snow and i have to put the s-lites with snow tires back on.

The center ring is the exact size, it just happend to fit, else all modern cars with the same bolt pattern are going to standardize...
