tires rubbing?

i dont see how, the tire height/width is almost the same as my stock 17" s lites (215/45/17)

these (temporary, painting the stock slites black) are 175/65/15 rub when i turn like more then half way, and when i hit a bump in the road. when im parked tho and turn full lock, it doesnt rub (it could be, i just may not hear it)

also, the tire light indicator came on, is it just cuase these tires are on?

this is only for maybe a week, so i can have time to paint my s-lites and not be rushed.

Rubbing depends on wheel offset as well as diameter/width.

My tire light indicator has activated merely by swapping fronts and rears.

tonight after work im going to remove one front tire and see if i can see if its rubbed on anything. i try to turn wide, im just gonna have to drive slow and careful for a week.

it couldnt be messing anything else up can it (besides the tire/inside of wheel well)? like it cant mess up anything with the brakes or anything right?

wat i would recommend is put a dab of either baby powder or flour
or cocaine(?) on the sidewall and do the turn.
you'll know where it rubbed.

You can also mark the tires by chalking them with sidewall chalk which comes off easily and you can see where it rubs on the tire or on the wheel arch or suspension.

Or you can put the car on a lift and then spin the tires and see where it might hit. Have one person in the driver's seat ready to turn the wheel so you can see the full range of travel as you look from below the car.

Yes, you can put the lift just a bit higher than ground level but still allow the tires to touch the ground slightly. Now turn the wheel and see if anything is close to rubbing.

I suppose if there is a dyno free that would be a good way to check clearance with wheels loaded and spinning but you can't steer the full range in the fronts to check for rubbing at the extremes.
