Tire Advice sought
I've ordered a set of 17" OZ Superleggera's for my MCS. I'm looking for advice on tires. My hope-to-meet requirements:
Streetable, in the summer, mainly dry pavement here in Colorado.
Autocrossable, but don't really care if I'm Uber competitive with these tires
Trackable, at least to the point they won't blister or wear out after a session or two.
I was thinking of getting the Falken Azenis but I see they don't come in 215's; I'm afraid that 225's will rub.
Any thoughts?
TIA!
Mark (taking delivery Friday)

Since this is tire-related I'm going to move this over to the Wheel and Tire Forum for additional discussion...Alex can also help with the options.

BTW - We run 215-45R16 Azeni's on the TEAM MCO car. As soon as I can afford to I'll use these as street tires as well. They are awesome and relatively inexpensive!

I would agree that 215/45/17 Kumho Mx or Bridgestone S-03 are natual choices. Goodyear eagle F1 GS D-3 will work as well, when it becomes available (end of July).
I do not handle the Falcon line, I am not able to comment there.

Bridgestone S-03 cost about $160 each and would be a good choice. Wears up to 20-22K miles.
Very solid wet traction, excellent on the track and well mannered on the street. It's available now if you need them right away.

205/40/17 is low in load capacity for the Mini, That tire size only bears 992 lbs at full inflation pressure. I know A very fast 225/45/17 Ks motorer, but he had to shave major fenderliner. S-03 is best plug and play application, kd's if your willing to modify.

Thanks Alex and everyone else! I think I'll go with the MX's, Grassroots Motorsports had a test. They seemed close to the Azenis/KD's on autocross times, probably are more streetable and looks like they might be pretty good on the track. (Plus they're cheaper than the S03's & the BFG KD's.
